Games are of various types, ranging from card games to board games, from musical instruments to video games. A game is generally a structured type of activity, normally undertaken for fun or amusement, and at times also used as a teaching tool. Games are different from work, which typically is done for remuneration, in games one can enjoy, learn and be motivated by playing. However, many people in the world have lost interest in playing because of the emergence of computer games.
Computer games differ from other types of entertainment in many ways, for example, the structure of the game involves multiple levels with different objectives, goals, items, players and enemies to complete the level. Video games also feature different types of gameplay, for example action, adventure, sports, puzzle, simulation, racing and adventure. The video game mechanics consist of the interaction of the player with the environment, other players and objects within the game world. Gameplay involves a wide variety of elements, including graphics, sounds, sound effects, mathematical capability and memory All these different types and genres of game mechanics interact in a complex interactive process to produce results, some desired and some not so desired.
For example, in a first-person shooter game the objective is to eliminate all the opponents; while in an adventure game the objective is to explore the virtual world, collect items and other features and progress towards the final stage. The adventure games contain some narrative, puzzle game mechanics and action. On the other hand, sports games are played with a set of rules and compete with each other.
